The company has announced the suspension of passenger-carrier service on the HCMC-Da Lat, HCMC-Can Tho, and Da Lat-Can Tho routes, effective from 5 a.m. on Sunday until further notice. However, their goods transporting service will continue to operate as usual. Customers who have purchased tickets for these routes will be provided with refunds.
According to VnExpress reporters, the offices of Thanh Buoi in Districts 5 and Binh Thanh in HCMC were open for business as usual on Sunday morning. Nevertheless, there was a noticeable decline in the volume of visitors.

Established in the year 2000, Thanh Buoi holds a prominent position as a leading transport service provider in the southern region of Vietnam. With a dedicated team of over 1,300 employees, the company efficiently caters to a significant portion of commuters traveling through HCMC, Can Tho in the Mekong Delta, and Da Lat in the Central Highlands.
Following a fatal traffic accident last month resulting in the tragic loss of five lives, local authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the company involved.
Further investigations uncovered that the driver had already lost his driving license prior to the occurrence of the accident. Additionally, Thanh Buoi was found to have numerous infractions in its service operations and lacked adequate safety protocols.
The company reported that its documents were seized and its host network was raided by investigators during an inspection on October 26th.
According to a spokesperson from Mien Tay Bus Station, a prominent bus terminal in HCMC, the suspension of Thanh Buoi's service will have minimal impact on the station's operations. They reassured passengers that there are numerous alternative bus options available for their convenience.
Local authorities have recently introduced a range of measures to cater to the diverse travel requirements of passengers, according to their official announcement.
