On Friday, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that President Vo Van Thuong and his wife have extended an invitation for a visit.

Since 2021, Khurelsukh has held the position of Mongolia's president.

In January 2010, as the General Secretary of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party, he embarked on a visit to Vietnam. During this trip, he had the opportunity to meet with President Thuong. Another notable encounter took place last May when he attended King Charles III's coronation in London and crossed paths with President Thuong once again.

On November 17, 1954, Vietnam and Mongolia commenced diplomatic relations. Currently, Vietnam is contemplating Mongolia's proposition to elevate their bilateral ties to a comprehensive partnership.

The trade volume between the two nations witnessed a notable surge, escalating from approximately US$50 million in 2020 to about $80 million in 2021. Moreover, this positive trend continued in 2022, with trade figures reaching an impressive $85 million.

As of November 2019, Mongolia has made investments totaling $1.1 million in three projects within Vietnam.

There are approximately 400 Vietnamese individuals who have settled in Mongolia, primarily engaged in employment within car garages.
