President Vo Van Thuong to attend APEC Economic Leaders' Week in San Francisco, Nov. 14-17.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that an invitation extended by U.S. President Joe Biden has led to the planning of a trip that will encompass various bilateral activities in the United States.

Just two months following the enhancement of diplomatic relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the U.S., an event that took place during President Joe Biden's visit to Hanoi, something significant occurred.

After a span of 30 years, the United States is once again hosting APEC, this time with an overarching focus on "Creating a Resilient and Sustainable Future for All."

Vietnam's inclusion in APEC, a regional forum comprising 21 economies in the Asia Pacific, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. This significant milestone highlights Vietnam's commitment to fostering open trade and investment in the region, while also promoting sustainable economic development. With these economies collectively representing approximately 60% of the global GDP, APEC serves as a platform for advancing mutually beneficial cooperation among its member nations.
